I am a woman who enjoys nature and the outdoors. My father was an officer for the Arkansas game and fish commission until his retirement in 2009. He taught me first hand how to respect and appreciate wildlife. I have had numerous amphibians as pets and provided the best care and habitats possible. During my undergraduate career I successfully completed a senior level Tropical Ecology class. The objective was to travel to Belize, locate, observe, obtain data, and report findings on red-eyed tree frogs as well as poison dart frogs in their natural habitat. I have also successfully completed a senior level Herpetology course and the lab during my studies. I volunteered to be the caretaker of all reptiles and amphibians residing in the zoology lab at UAM. I have been on numerous field studies where I have safely captured, handled, collected data and released many amphibians and reptiles. I am a quick learner and very passionate about animals. I am a hard working and goal oriented individual. I work well with others as well as independently to achieve set goals. I have wonderful oral and written communication skills, data collection skills and pay close attention to detail.
