Filed:
Apr 11, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/084444
Inventors:
Alex Grossman - Lomita CA, US
Jordan Woods - Redondo Beach CA, US
Salvador Munar - Redondo Beach CA, US
John L. Bertagnolli - Parker CO, US
Marty S. Levens - Dripping Springs TX, US
Edwin M. Wynne - Pinckney MI, US
Assignee:
ACTIVE STORAGE, INC. - Torrance CA
International Classification:
G06F 12/08
US Classification:
711114, 711E12019
Abstract:
Systems and methods for providing self-contained embedded storage providing data redundancy and automatic failover for a RAID system are disclosed. In one embodiment, a metadata RAID array module disposed for insertion in a metadata controller is disclosed. The array module may be configured to receive power and/or cooling from the metadata controller while providing RAID metadata functionality through an external interface. The external interface may be a Fibre channel interface.

Networked Storage System And Method Including Private Data Network

US Patent:
2013016, Jun 27, 2013
Filed:
Dec 21, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/333992
Inventors:
James George Wayda - Laguna Niguel CA, US
John L. Bertagnolli - Parker CO, US
Mark Lonsdale - Redondo Beach CA, US
Alex Grossman - Lomita CA, US
International Classification:
G06F 15/16
G06F 15/167
US Classification:
709213, 709219
Abstract:
A networked storage system includes a source mass storage device coupled to a client via a storage area network (SAN). A target mass storage device is coupled to the source mass storage device via a private data network. The source mass storage device stores source data which is provided to the client via the SAN in response to a request by the client to read the data. If the request is to copy or move the source data, however, the source mass storage device determines an identifier for the target mass storage device and directly provides, based on the identifier, the source data to the target mass storage device via the private data network. The transfer via the private data network bypasses the client and the SAN.

Hearing Device With Self-Cleaning Tubing

US Patent:
2016016, Jun 9, 2016
Filed:
Nov 23, 2015
Appl. No.:
14/949101
Inventors:
- Itasca IL, US
Alex Grossman - Schaumburg IL, US
International Classification:
H04R 1/10
H04R 1/02
Abstract:
An acoustic device that is configured to be disposed at least partially within an ear includes a hard inner sleeve, a soft or flexible outer sleeve, a speaker, a microphone, and a microphone chamber. The outer sleeve includes a first channel and a second channel. The first channel extends through the soft outer sleeve. A portion of the second channel is open and not surrounded by the hard inner sleeve on an outer surface of the hard outer sleeve. The soft outer sleeve at least partially surrounds the hard inner sleeve. The soft outer sleeve covers the portion of the second channel that is open to form an enclosed channel. The speaker is in communication with the first channel. The microphone chamber communicating with a microphone, and the microphone chamber is also in communication with the second channel via a port.

Formed Diaphragm Frame For Receiver

US Patent:
2014036, Dec 18, 2014
Filed:
Jun 11, 2014
Appl. No.:

Alex Grossman - Schaumburg IL, US
International Classification:
H04R 7/02
US Classification:
381423
Abstract:
An acoustic apparatus includes a top assembly and a bottom assembly. The bottom assembly is coupled to the top assembly to form an overall assembly. A diaphragm assembly is disposed in the overall assembly so as to separate the overall assembly into a front volume and a back volume. The diaphragm assembly includes a frame and the frame has a first end, a second end, and a middle portion that is disposed between the first end and the second end. The first end and the second end are not in the same plane as the middle portion. The first end is coupled to the bottom assembly and the second end is coupled to the top assembly.
