B65G 23/44
US Classification:
198813, 19881004, 414527
Abstract:
A conveyor system for a vehicle includes a belt auto-tensioning system that tensions the belt prior to belt movement but not necessarily during loading. Also included are a belt guidance system and a belt anti-slippage system. A fourth system aspect is a floating drive connection system with square or non-linear adaptor. Several benefits are obtained by using the conveyor system disclosed. Also provided are a method of using the conveyor system and a method of constructing a vehicle system combination conveyor.

Support Apparatus For Securing A Wing Plow

US Patent:
8596376, Dec 3, 2013
Filed:
Aug 2, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/804948
Inventors:
Andrew Holverson - Mineral Point WI, US
John Hromadka - Gratiot WI, US
Assignee:
Monroe Truck Equipment, Inc. - Monroe WI
International Classification:
E02F 3/76
US Classification:
172811, 172819
Abstract:
A support apparatus is disclosed for securing a material moving wing plow relative to a vehicle. The support apparatus includes a beam having a first and a second end, the beam being rigidly secured to the vehicle. A plate having a first and a second extremity is rigidly secured to the beam. A first trailing link is pivotally secured to the plate about a first pivotal axis. A second trailing link is pivotally secured to the plate about a second pivotal axis. A support arm is provided for supporting the wing plow. The support arm has a first termination and a second termination and is pivotally secured to the first trailing link about a third pivotal axis. Also, the support arm is pivotally secured to the second trailing link about a fourth pivotal axis. The first, second, third and fourth pivotal axes are spaced and parallel relative to each other so that when the vehicle moves in a forward direction, the third and fourth pivotal axes trail behind the first and second pivotal axes relative to the forward direction of the vehicle. The arrangement is such that during a plowing operation, the wing plow supported by the support arm moves smoothly over the material being moved so that a potentially dangerous diving of the wing plow into the material in a vicinity of the support arm is avoided.

Spreader Apparatus For Vehicle

US Patent:
2006004, Mar 9, 2006
Filed:
Sep 8, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/221963
Inventors:
Andrew Holverson - Manchester IA, US
Glenn Ungerer - Swisher IA, US
Shannon Richardson - Earlville IA, US
Assignee:
Henderson Enterprises, Inc. - Manchester IA
International Classification:
E01C 19/20
US Classification:
239657000, 239668000
Abstract:
A vehicle including a dump body and spreader for selectively dumping and spreading materials. The vehicle includes, at least, a chassis, a body, and a spreader apparatus with a belt mechanism. A hoist is provided which extends between the body and the chassis for pivoting the body about a hinge. A tailgate is located at the rear of the body wherein the tailgate is pivotably mounted to the body. The tailgate has an opening therein to permit material to flow therethrough from the dump body to an auger assembly. The auger assembly includes an auger, which directs material to an opening through which the material will fall into the spreader apparatus. The spreader apparatus includes a body with an inlet and outlet, a belt mechanism driven by a motor, a mounting mechanism to attach it to the vehicle. The belt is driven by a motor that is controlled by a control system located in the vehicle. The control system monitors vehicle speed and then runs the belt at a speed such that all materials dispensed from the spreader outlet will have a velocity proportional and opposite to that of the vehicle, or zero speed relative to the ground.
