Ms. Stern has represented numerous clients in their Nevada and Ninth Circuit appeals. A selection of these cases is included below; Einhorn v. BAC Home Loans Servicing, 128 Nev. Adv. Op. 61 (Nev. 2012) (preserved district court ruling interpreting the law governing Nevada's foreclosure mediation program); BAC Home Loans Servicing, LP v. Abdelgadir (In re Abdelgadir), 455 B.R. 896 (9th Cir. BAP 2011) (obtained reversal of bankruptcy court decision interpreting the anti-modification provision of 11 U.S.C. §1123); BMW v. Roth, 252 P.3d 649 (Nev. 2011) (en banc) (obtained reversal of order granting new trial based on attorney misconduct); Clark County School District v. Richardson Construction, Inc., 168 P.3d 87 (Nev. 2007) (obtained reversal of overbroad sanctions order against the school district and favorable appellate decision limiting potential damages on remand); Domino's Pizza, Inc. v. McDonald, 546 U.S. 470 (2006) (successfully petitioned for writ of certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court, ultimately resulting in reversal and remand in favor of client); Insurance Co. of the West v. Gibson Tile, 134 P.3d 698 (Nev. 2006) (obtained complete reversal of adverse jury verdict against surety client, favorable clarification of Nevada law with regard to liability of sureties, and, on remand, award of summary judgment on claim for attorney's fees); Rodriguez v. Eighth Judicial District Ct., 102 P.3d 41 (Nev. 2004) (represented real party in interest pro bono, preserving family court ruling on the issue of right to counsel in civil contempt proceedings).
