Abstract:
Disclosed here in are compounds and methods of diagnosing Alzheimer's Disease or a predisposition thereto in a mammal, the method comprising administering to the mammal a diagnostically effective amount of a radiolabeled compound, wherein the compound is selected from the group consisting of radiolabeled carbazoles and derivatives thereof and triazoles derivatives, allowing the compound to distribute into the brain tissue, and imaging the brain tissue, wherein an increase in binding of the compound to the brain tissue compared to a normal control level of binding indicates that the mammal is suffering from or is at risk of developing Alzheimer's Disease.

Molecular Probes For Multimodality Imaging Of Anionic Membrane Surfaces

US Patent:
2013032, Dec 5, 2013
Filed:
Jun 4, 2013
Appl. No.:
13/909684
Inventors:
Kai Chen - San Gabriel CA, US
Koon Y. Pak - Malvern PA, US
International Classification:
A61K 51/04
G01N 33/50
A61B 6/03
A61K 51/08
A61M 5/00
A61B 5/00
US Classification:
424 189, 600431, 600427, 546 12, 530330, 435 29
Abstract:
Embodiments provide dual modality probes for imaging phosphatidylserine (PS) exposure and other anionic membrane surfaces. In various embodiments, the probes were constructed by utilizing a) the high selectivity of synthetic zinc (II) dipicolylamine coordination complexes (Zn-DPA) for targeting externalized PS which over-expresses in apoptotic and necrotic cells, b) a near-infrared (NIR) dye for optical imaging, and c) a widely used clinically approved radionuclide for PET (or SPECT) imaging. A variety of linking elements were incorporated into the probes between the Zn-DPA and radionuclide motif to modulate the pharmacokinetics. The in vitro and in vivo data of radiolabeled dipicolylamine probes demonstrated their utilities for imaging PS exposure with multiple imaging modalities.

Configuration Management Based On Thermal State

US Patent:
2022031, Oct 6, 2022

International Classification:
G06F 1/20
G01K 3/00
G06F 9/445
Abstract:
The systems and methods manage thermal states of a device through user configuration of a client application on the device. The systems and methods set thermal thresholds associated with the device. The systems and methods infer the thermal thresholds from information gathered by a client application running on the device. The systems and methods implement a stored policy associated with a violation of one of the thermal thresholds by one of the monitored thermal states.

Staged Release Of Updates With Anomaly Monitoring

US Patent:
2022027, Sep 1, 2022
Filed:
May 18, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/747812
Inventors:
Michael Cieslak - Los Angeles CA, US
Jiayao Yu - Venice CA, US
Kai Chen - Manhattan Beach CA, US
Farnaz Azmoodeh - Venice CA, US
Michael David Marr - Monroe WA, US
Jun Huang - Beverly Hills CA, US
Zahra Ferdowsi - Marina del Rey CA, US
Olamide Valerie Olatunji - Los Angeles CA, US
David Boyle - Santa Monica CA, US
Claire Reinert - Seattle WA, US
International Classification:
G06F 11/34
G06F 11/14
Abstract:
Systems, devices, media, and methods are presented for releasing an application feature in incremental stages while monitoring the application for anomalies. The feature includes a package of code and an action setting. The methods in some implementations include identifying active devices on which the application has been installed, monitoring the application according to a set of metrics, activating the feature by changing its action setting for a first segment of the active devices, pausing the feature if an anomaly is detected among the set of metrics, and generating a repair ticket. As long as no anomaly is detected, the activating step proceeds for subsequent segments of the active devices, iteratively, until the release is completed. A feature rank may be used to process and release a plurality of features in order of priority.

18F-Labeled Bisphosphonates For Pet Imaging

US Patent:
2020020, Jul 2, 2020
Filed:
Mar 7, 2017
Appl. No.:
16/303913
Inventors:
- Los Angeles CA, US
Boris A Kashemirov - Los Angeles CA, US
Kai Chen - San Gabriel CA, US
International Classification:
A61K 51/04
Abstract:
A novel method for rapidly and efficiently introducing fluorine into the P-C-P backbone of bisphosphonates starting from readily accessible diazomethylenebisphosphonate esters is provided. The method is applied successfully to create novel [F]-labeled bisphosphonates for positron emission tomography imaging. Some versions of the method include reacting a diazomethylenebisphosphonate tetraalkyl ester with a fluorinating agent in the presence of an acidic HF/base complex and a t-butyl hypohalite to produce a halofluoromethylenebisphosphonate tetraalkyl ester, and dealkylating the halofluoromethylenebisphosphonate alkyl ester to produce a halofluoromethylenebis(phosphonic acid). Methods of replacing the halogen group with hydrogen are further provided. F-labeled bisphosphonates prepared by the methods, and methods of using such compounds for positron emission tomography imaging in patients and animal models, are also provided.
