About:
Charles Rakestraw was raised in Stoneville, NC and earned his 4 year degree at Elon University. After a few short years in the corporate world, Charles earned his Real Estate Brokers License and General Contractors license and has since fulfilled a life long dream working in many facets of Real Estate and Building of New Homes. Over the past 15 years, his diverse background includes a wide range of developing and brokering commercial deals in North Carolina from Elkin, NC to Kinston, NC, i.e. CVS, Advance Auto, Dollar General, land deals and farms. Additionally, Charles continues to successfully build new homes in Western Rockingham County. Charles’ success has allowed him to serve the Triad Community and Rockingham County by serving as; NewBridge Bank Advisory Board Member; VP of Education-Triad Toastmasters; Madison-Mayodan Rotary Club Past President; Center for Creative Leadership Graduate; Airport Authority Board Member 2055 to 2011, and Rockingham County Planning Board Member 2004 to 2009. Charles met the love of his life, Susan, at Lawndale Baptist Church in 1996 in the Single Adult’s Ministry and they married in 1998. They proudly adopted their son (Peyton) in 2004. Charles considers his journey, “a work in progress” and his mission in life is simple: “To live a Christian life to its fullest; whether it’s professionally, family life, serving the Church, serving others, based on uncompromised biblically guided principals.”
