Methods For Critical Dimension And Focus Mapping Using Critical Dimension Test Marks

US Patent:
6974653, Dec 13, 2005
Filed:
Dec 4, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/310640
Inventors:
Frank C. Leung - San Jose CA, US
Etsuya Morita - Dublin CA, US
Christopher Howard Putnam - Pleasanton CA, US
Holly H. Magoon - Colchester VT, US
Ronald A. Pierce - Richmond VT, US
Norman E. Roberts - Richmond VT, US
Assignee:
Nikon Precision Inc. - Belmont CA
International Classification:
G03F009/00
US Classification:
430 30, 430311, 382144, 382145, 382148, 438 14, 438401
Abstract:
Methods for using critical dimension test marks (test marks) for the rapid determination of the best focus position of lithographic processing equipment and critical dimension measurement analysis across a wafer's surface are described. In a first embodiment, a plurality of test mark arrays are distributed across the surface of a wafer, a different plurality being created at a plurality of focus positions. Measurement of the length or area of the resultant test marks allows for the determination of the best focus position of the processing equipment. Critical dimension measurements at multiple points on a wafer with test marks allow for the determination of process accuracy and repeatability and further allows for the real-time detection of process degradation. Using test marks which require only a relatively simple optical scanner and sensor to measure their length or area, it is possible to measure hundreds of measurement values across a wafer in thirty minutes. Comparable measurements with a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) require at least five hours.

Community Translation On A Social Network

International Classification:
G06F 17/28
US Classification:
704 2, 704 4
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention provide techniques for translating text in a social network. In one embodiment translations of text phrases are received from members of the social network. These text phrases include content displayed in a social networking system, such as content from social networking objects. A particular member is provided with content including a text phrase in a first language, and the member requests translation into another language. Responsive to this request, a translation of the text phrase is selected from a set of available translations. The selection is based on actions by friends of the member in the social network, the actions being associated with the set of available translations. These actions can the viewing of or approval of translations by the friends, for example. The selected translation is then presented to the member requesting the translation.

Communicating Information About A Local Machine To A Browser Application

US Patent:
8601363, Dec 3, 2013
Filed:
Jul 20, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/506225
Inventors:
Matthew Cahill - Redwood City CA, US
Christopher W. Putnam - Emerald Hills CA, US
Daniel Reed Weatherford - Emerald Hills CA, US
Assignee:
Facebook, Inc. - Menlo Park CA
International Classification:
G06F 3/00
US Classification:
715234
Abstract:
The functionality of a browser application is enhanced using a browser plug-in, which enables the browser application to access portions of a file system not otherwise accessible to the browser application. The enhanced functionality provided by the browser plug-in is used in one example by an image uploading web application. The browser application may also start a task in the background, such as a task for uploading several images, and then monitor the progress of the task even when the browser application navigates away from the page that initiated the task. The browser application may use a local web server running on the client device to perform tasks, including the rendering of images and monitoring progress of long running tasks.

Removeable Esd For Improving I/O Pin Bandwidth

US Patent:
2005008, Apr 28, 2005
Filed:
Oct 23, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/692415
Inventors:
David Boerstler - Round Rock TX, US
Gricell Co - Austin TX, US
Harm Hofstee - Austin TX, US
Christopher Putnam - Hinesburg VT, US
Assignee:
International Business Machines Corporation - Armonk NY
International Classification:
H02H005/04
US Classification:
361103000
Abstract:
The present invention provides for disconnecting a capacitive path from a device when the capacitive path is no longer needed. Disconnecting a capacitive path when it is no longer needed is beneficial because the existence of a capacitive path limits the speed of the protected device. The device is separated from the capacitive path as a function of the current between the IO pad and a control device.
