About:
Meet Dave.....the Realtor Having lived in the Boise Valley since 1986, during this time I have had the pleasure of living in 3 counties (Elmore County (Mtn. Home), Canyon County (Nampa), and Ada County (Boise). Each county has something special and unique to offer! These experiences have provided me with a tremendous amount of knowledge of this beautiful valley and what it has to offer. This extra insight, combined with my vigilant analysis of the Real Estate Market allows me to help others with their housing choices in Boise and the Treasure Valley as a whole. I enjoy working with both Buyers and Sellers and I share my knowledge and experiences openly and honestly, to guide my clients in making the right choice at the right time. With a motto of Honest Results in Real Estate combined with my area knowledge and real estate skills, I am a great resource to help you make your Real Estate Investment dreams come true! My Credentials Although I have been a full time Realtor since 2002, I also participate in the following activities: ~ Certified Pre-License Real Estate Instructor ~ National Association of Realtor (NAR) trained Mediator for Real Estate dealings. ~ 2013 President Elect (President in 2014) - Ada County Association of Realtors (ACAR) ~ Board of Director Idaho Association of Realtors (2012-2013). ~ Serve on various committees at ACAR including Professional Standards-Ethics ~Masters of Business Administration & Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics & Aviation Safety Meet Dave......the Person I moved to Idaho in 1986, although a transplant from So. Cal. I was lucky enough to have Idaho for my first tour of duty in the Air Force! And I am grateful that my 3 daughters were born and raised here in Idaho! I grew up in southern California in a place called Venice Beach. A couple of years after high school I joined the US Air Force for two reasons, to learn a trade and get an education. I served 9 years as an Aircraft mechanic, and went to school at night and received a BS in Professional Aeronautics & Aviation Safety. After serving my county, I moved my little family back to Idaho to work at Micron Technology (1995 to 2002) as a Product Marketing Manager for one of their mass produced memory devices. While at Micron, I used my GI bill to obtain a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). Working in the corporate world provided a wealth of experiences that I will cherish forever! These careers and experiences have provided me a well-rounded wealth of knowledge to use as a Realtor! I have 3 Wonderful Adult Daughters, a great Son-in-Law and 3 Incredible Grand Children!!!! I live in the North end of Down Town Boise between the Capital and the foothills and LOVE where I live!

Modifying Behavior Of Autonomous Vehicle Based On Predicted Behavior Of Other Vehicles

US Patent:
8457827, Jun 4, 2013
Filed:
Mar 15, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/420820
Inventors:
David I. Ferguson - San Francisco CA, US
Dmitri A. Dolgov - Mountain View CA, US
Assignee:
Google Inc. - Mountain View CA
International Classification:
G01C 22/00
G05D 1/00
US Classification:
701 23, 180169, 701 28
Abstract:
A vehicle configured to operate in an autonomous mode could determine a current state of the vehicle and the current state of the environment of the vehicle. The environment of the vehicle includes at least one other vehicle. A predicted behavior of the at least one other vehicle could be determined based on the current state of the vehicle and the current state of the environment of the vehicle. A confidence level could also be determined based on the predicted behavior, the current state of the vehicle, and the current state of the environment of the vehicle. In some embodiments, the confidence level may be related to the likelihood of the at least one other vehicle to perform the predicted behavior. The vehicle in the autonomous mode could be controlled based on the predicted behavior, the confidence level, and the current state of the vehicle and its environment.

Safely Navigating On Roads Through Maintaining Safe Distance From Other Vehicles

US Patent:
8504233, Aug 6, 2013
Filed:
Apr 27, 2012
Appl. No.:

Abstract:
Methods and devices for controlling a vehicle in an autonomous mode are disclosed. In one aspect, an example method is disclosed that includes obtaining, by a computer system, lane information that provides an estimated location of a lane of a road on which a vehicle is traveling, where the computer system is configured to control the vehicle in an autonomous mode. The example method further includes determining, by the computer system, that the lane information has become unavailable or unreliable and, in response to determining that the lane information has become unavailable or unreliable, the computer system using at least one sensor to monitor at least one neighboring vehicle and controlling the vehicle to maintain a distance between the vehicle and the at least one neighboring vehicle to be at least a predetermined minimum distance.

Controlling A Vehicle Having Inadequate Map Data

US Patent:

Abstract:
A vehicle can be controlled in a first autonomous mode of operation by at least navigating the vehicle based on map data. Sensor data can be obtained using one or more sensors of the vehicle. The sensor data can be indicative of an environment of the vehicle. An inadequacy in the map data can be detected by at least comparing the map data to the sensor data. In response to detecting the inadequacy in the map data, the vehicle can be controlled in a second autonomous mode of operation and a user can be prompted to switch to a manual mode of operation. The vehicle can be controlled in the second autonomous mode of operation by at least obtaining additional sensor data using the one or more sensors of the vehicle and navigating the vehicle based on the additional sensor data.

Actively Modifying A Field Of View Of An Autonomous Vehicle In View Of Constraints

US Patent:
2013024, Sep 19, 2013
Filed:
Mar 16, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/423143
Inventors:
David I. Ferguson - San Francisco CA, US
Jiajun Zhu - Sunnyvale CA, US
Assignee:
Google Inc. - Mountain View CA
International Classification:
G05D 1/00
US Classification:
701 23
Abstract:
Methods and devices for actively modifying a field of view of an autonomous vehicle in view of constraints are disclosed. In one embodiment, an example method is disclosed that includes causing a sensor in an autonomous vehicle to sense information about an environment in a first field of view, where a portion of the environment is obscured in the first field of view. The example method further includes determining a desired field of view in which the portion of the environment is not obscured and, based on the desired field of view and a set of constraints for the vehicle, determining a second field of view in which the portion of the environment is less obscured than in the first field of view. The example method further includes modifying a position of the vehicle, thereby causing the sensor to sense information in the second field of view.

Robust Method For Detecting Traffic Signals And Their Associated States

US Patent:
2013025, Sep 26, 2013

GOOGLE INC. - Mountain View CA
International Classification:
G05D 1/00
US Classification:
701 28
Abstract:
Methods and devices for detecting traffic signals and their associated states are disclosed. In one embodiment, an example method includes a scanning a target area using one or more sensors of a vehicle to obtain target area information. The vehicle may be configured to operate in an autonomous mode, and the target area may be a type of area where traffic signals are typically located. The method may also include detecting a traffic signal in the target area information, determining a location of the traffic signal, and determining a state of the traffic signal. Also, a confidence in the traffic signal may be determined. For example, the location of the traffic signal may be compared to known locations of traffic signals. Based on the state of the traffic signal and the confidence in the traffic signal, the vehicle may be controlled in the autonomous mode.
