He has created, written and produced TV and radio spots, videos, print ads, direct mail, outdoor boards, brochures, catalogs, newsletters, pr releases, web site content, flash emails, electronic newsletters, and CD-ROM programs for a diverse universe of consumer and B2B clients. His experience was gained while working for Twin Cities advertising agencies such as Kamstra Commnunications, DBK&O, Blaisdell & Westlie (associate creative director) and Gerber-Housewright (creative director/partner). Among his responsibilities was maintaining the quality of the agency’s creative product, nurturing strong agency-client relationships, directing and supervising the work of employees as well as outside vendors, and making concise and informative presentations before groups large and small., Housewright's clients have included Federal Express, 3M, Hormel Foods, HealthEast Hospitals, Tony's Pizza, SUPERAMERICA, Treasure Island Casinos, United Healthcare, Schwan's Foods, Starkey Hearing Aids, Meyer Cookware, National City Bank, Applebee's, American National Bank, Schneiderman's Furniture, California Institute of Technology, Guthrie Theatre, ECOLAB, Champion Batteries, Pharmacia Deltec, Medtronic, Children’s Heart Fund, Como Zoo, and Partnership for a Drug-Free America., Housewright has published ten novels to date ("Penance" won the Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America; "Practice To Deceive" and "Jelly’s Gold" earned the Minnesota Book Award). My short stories have appeared in a number of publications and anthologies such as "Twin Cities Noir.", He honed my research, interviewing, writing and editing skills while working as a news and sports reporter for the Minneapolis Tribune, Albert Lea (MN) Evening Tribune and the Grand Forks (ND) Herald. My articles have appeared in publications such as Format Magazine, ADWEEK, Crimespree Magazine and The History Channel Magazine., Housewright has also taught novel-writing courses for the University of Minnesota and the Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis., He has worked briefly as a Senior Copywriter for Andersen Windows where he was responsible for creating and producing a wide variety of marketing materials for the company while maintaining the quality of the in-house advertising agency’s creative product
