US Patent:
2002009, Jul 11, 2002
Filed:
Sep 5, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/946251
Inventors:
Robert Agresta - Englewood Cliffs NJ, US
Greg Roth - Teaneck NJ, US
David Tannenbaum - Englewood NJ, US
International Classification:
G06F015/16
US Classification:
709/231000, 709/219000, 705/051000
Abstract:
Systems and methods for permitting consumers to securely purchase, access, download and/or stream entertainment content such as musical and audio visual works, including a remote terminal or terminals. Consumers subscribe to the system and obtain a terminal or terminals. The terminals permit the subscribers to access the system to obtain content, either by downloading same to the terminal or by directly perceiving the content while streaming the content to the terminal. The invention prevents unauthorized copying, distribution and/or performance of protected works while at the same time eliminating the need for consumers to possess the tangible objects, e.g. CDS and DVDs, upon which detectable works normally reside. The software associated with the system regulates the transmission of content from the database(s) upon which it is stored, through a central server associated with the system, to the subscriber terminals for storage or immediate, i.e., “streaming”, playback.

US Patent:
2022027, Aug 25, 2022
Filed:
Mar 14, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/694247
Inventors:
- Pasadena CA, US
Bin Shen - Pasadena CA, US
Brian Schmidt - Pasadena CA, US
Jarriett Robinson - Pasadena CA, US
David Tannenbaum - Pasadena CA, US
Vadim Telyatnikov - Pasadena CA, US
Miki Rapoport - Glendale CA, US
International Classification:
G06Q 30/02
H04L 67/02
Abstract:
System architecture and methods for enabling an online real-time auction (either server-side or client-side) of advertising inventory that works in conjunction with ad serving technologies. In some implementations, the system architecture facilitates multiple parallel requests from an end-user's browser client to multiple real-time bidders who respond with a bid and advertisement that are sent to an ad serving system to be compared with other statically priced advertisements and exchange demand to determine the winning advertisements that will be displayed to the end-user. Data is aggregated for each bid and price limits are set based on the aggregations. In other implementations, all the bids from the multiple bidders are passed to the publisher for selection of a bid by the publisher.
