System And Method For Electronically Managing Discovery Pleading Information

US Patent:
7058661, Jun 6, 2006
Filed:
Jul 2, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/884016
Inventors:
Barbara L. Ciaramitaro - Grosse Pointe Woods MI, US
Michael A. Gruskin - West Bloomfield MI, US
Edward C. Wolfe - Bloomfield Hills MI, US
Assignee:
General Motors Corporation - Detroit MI
International Classification:
G06F 17/30
US Classification:
7071041, 707 5
Abstract:
A system and method for electronically managing discovery pleading information in which a user having an instant discovery request can search a repository to access prior discovery requests and corresponding responses to aid in formulating a response to the instant discovery request. The corresponding prior discovery responses include the documentary and other information previously produced in response to the prior discovery request, and may also include the text of the response itself. In this way the inventive system and method promotes efficiency and consistency in responding to discovery requests.

System And Method For Electronically Managing Composite Documents

US Patent:
7065515, Jun 20, 2006
Filed:
Jul 2, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/884009
Inventors:
Barbara L. Ciaramitaro - Grosse Pointe Woods MI, US
Michael A. Gruskin - West Bloomfield MI, US
Edward C. Wolfe - Bloomfield Hills MI, US
Assignee:
General Motors Corporation - Detroit MI
International Classification:
G06F 17/00
US Classification:
707 2, 707101
Abstract:
A system and method for electronically managing composite documents including a repository of electronically stored individual documents, where a subset of the individual documents are associated with other individual documents to form composite documents. A search tool is also provided for locating a selected individual document, where the selected individual document is associated with a selected composite document. A selection tool for selecting a function to be applied to the selected individual document includes an option to apply the function to other individual documents within the selected composite document. This allows the selected individual document to be operated on individually or with the other individual documents within the selected composite document.

System And Method For Electronically Managing Privileged And Non-Privileged Documents

US Patent:
7130858, Oct 31, 2006
Filed:
Jul 2, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/884014
Inventors:
Barbara L. Ciaramitaro - Grosse Pointe Woods MI, US
Michael A. Gruskin - West Bloomfield MI, US
Edward C. Wolfe - Bloomfield Hills MI, US
Assignee:
General Motors Corporation - Detroit MI
International Classification:
G06F 17/30
US Classification:
707101, 707 10, 707102, 707103 R, 7071041
Abstract:
A system and method for electronically managing privileged and non-privileged documents in two independent schemas. One schema is a privileged schema for storing privileged documents and the other schema is a non-privileged schema for storing non-privileged documents. The two schemas are separate and distinct so that privileged and non-privileged documents are not commingled. Access to the privileged schema is restricted to privileged users while non-privileged users have access only to the non-privileged schema. As a result, privileged documents are protected against the inadvertent waiver of privilege.

System And Method For Electronically Managing Remote Review Of Documents

US Patent:
7698298, Apr 13, 2010
Filed:
Jul 2, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/884010
Inventors:
Barbara L. Ciaramitaro - Grosse Pointe Woods MI, US
Michael A. Gruskin - West Bloomfield MI, US
Edward C. Wolfe - Bloomfield Hills MI, US
Assignee:
Xerox Corporation - Norwalk CT
International Classification:
G06F 17/30
US Classification:
7071041, 707 3
Abstract:
A system and method are provided for electronically managing remote review of documents that are stored on a central repository. The remote review system advantageously enables a remote reviewer, lacking repository access, to remotely review and record decisions in respect to documents stored in the repository and then electronically integrate those remotely made decisions back into the repository. In this way, the inventive system and method promotes efficiency and consistency in responding to document requests for legal purposes.

Toothpaste Extractor

US Patent:
4508242, Apr 2, 1985
Filed:
Oct 21, 1982
Appl. No.:
6/435570
Inventors:
Edward B. Wolfe - Reading PA
International Classification:
B65D 3528
US Classification:
222102
Abstract:
The toothpaste dispensing apparatus of my invention comprises an enclosure which houses multiple separate tube holders for holding the tubes of paste. It, also, contains a reversible motor connected by a worm screw to a holder containing a pair of movable rollers for dispensing tooth paste, shaving cream, etc. from any of its multiple positions. The paste is discharged at the bottom of the inner tube holder by a squeezing pressure exerted upon the tube by the pair of rollers which moves downward over the inner tube holder. This device is equipped with a switch for automatically reversing the downward direction of the rollers when the contents of the tube have been exhausted. A most unique feature is the provision for housing several tubes and the selector knob, which allows the operator to choose either one of the several tubes on which to operate without having to dismantle or load or unload the device.
