Abstract:
A pneumatic support system for a wheelchair is provided herein. An implementation includes a support unit that supports a portion of the body of a user, a control unit that permits the user to control whether the support unit gets inflated or deflated, and a compressor that provides pressurized air to the support unit to inflate the support unit. The wheelchair has a valve, such when the user indicates that the support unit is to be inflated, the control unit sends a signal to the valve to move the valve to a first position, thereby permitted the pressurized air to reach the support unit. The support unit may be implemented in a variety of ways, and may be one of many support units. In one implementation, the support unit supports a thoracic portion of the user's body. In another implementation, the wheelchair has one or more thoracic support units, which may be disposed on opposite sides of the thoracic portion of the user's body, and one or more pelvic support units, which may be disposed on opposite sides of the user's pelvis. The thoracic support units and or the pelvic support units may be pivotally attached to the back support of the wheelchair.

Abstract:
A device for determining a strength profile of a human limb. The device comprises a first tubular member and a support intended to be suspended in a fixed position in relation to a coordinate system X-, y and z-axes. The first tubular member is arranged for holding the human limb and for being in contact with the support via at least one force sensor arranged for detecting forces exercised by the human limb on the first tubular member in directions in the coordinate system when determining the strength profile, wherein the coordinate system is three-dimension and has x-, y and z-axes and the force sensor is/are arranged for detecting forces along each of the x-, y and z-axes. The determined strength profile, for e. g. an arm or a leg of a human subject, can be presented as a table or diagram illustrating the forces and torques the human limb in question can exercise in different directions in the coordinate system. The device according to the invention is a useful tool in ergonomic, orthopaedic and research work.

Abstract:
A roller shade adapted to adjustably cover a structural opening comprising a pair of longitudinal side panel assemblies each comprising a tensioning assembly and adapted to be attached at opposite sides of the structural opening and a roller tube assembly adapted to be attached to and between the pair of longitudinal side panel assemblies. The roller tube assembly comprises a roller tube comprising at least one channel and a shade material attached to the roller tube and adapted to unroll from the roller tube from an opened position to a closed position. The roller tube assembly further comprises at least one cable cone secured to an end of the roller tube and comprising a lateral wall comprising a plurality of index slots disposed at radial intervals along the lateral wall. The roller shade also comprises at least one cable adapted to be wound about the cable cone, be tensioned by the tensioning assembly, and be attached to a free end of the shade material. The cable cone is adapted to be aligned with respect to the roller tube to an aligned position at which one of the index slots is substantially aligned with the at least one channel in the roller tube. An index insert is adapted to be inserted through the substantially aligned index slot and into the channel in the roller tube to lock the alignment between the roller tube and the cable cone.

Abstract:
A roller shade adapted to adjustably cover a structural opening comprising a roller tube assembly having a roller tube and a shade material attached to the roller tube, a pair of longitudinal side panel assemblies adapted to be attached at opposite sides of the structural opening and retain the roller tube assembly therebetween, at least one lateral panel comprising a side wall having an alignment channel recessed in its outer surface, and at least two corner brackets. Each side panel assembly comprises a tensioning assembly adapted to tension the shade material. Each corner bracket comprises a first portion and a second portion orthogonal to the first portion. The first portion is adapted to be attached to one of the longitudinal side panel assemblies. The second portion comprises a substantially flat wall with an alignment tab linearly extending from its terminal end. The alignment tab is sized to fit within the alignment channel of the lateral panel. The lateral panel is installed to the structural opening between the pair of longitudinal side panel assemblies by aligning and inserting the alignment tabs of the corner brackets into the alignment channel of the lateral panel and attaching the lateral panel at a head or base of the structural opening.

A hem bar of a cable guided shade adapted to be removably attached to a pair of cables secured along opposite sides of a structural opening. The hem bar comprises a pair of cable engaging portions disposed at two opposite ends of the hem bar. Each cable engaging portion comprises a tubular body with a longitudinal channel extending therein and a slot traversing the tubular body from the top end to the bottom end of the tubular body. The hem bar may removably and slidably engage the pair of cables by twisting the hem bar in a first direction to align each slot in the cable engaging portions with a length of the respective cable, inserting the cables through the slots into the channels in the cable engaging portions of the hem bar, and twisting the hem bar in a second direction, opposite the first direction, to capture the cables within the channels in the cable engaging portions.
