Last Thursday, Novak and Ballard were both temporarily removed from their teaching positions at the high school by Superintendent Richard Labbe along with three other teachers contracted by the district to coach footballMark Poore, Edward Mish and head football coach George Najjar.
Under Novaks guidance, the varsity baseball team has not developed into the powerhouse that the schools football team has become under head coach George Najjar. But in the last three seasons, the team has posted a 53-26 record. According to Smith, Novak has won two division titles as coach. Novak
ocuments obtained by NJ Advance Media indicate that the school district contracted with a total of nine individuals to coach football for 2014-2015. Five are tenured employees of the district and teachers at the high school George Najjar, Edward Mish, Michael Novak, Mark Poore and Timothy Ballard.
