Recognizing defense of clients in immigration proceedings. My cases included securing a Violence Against Women Act waiver from removal (deportation) for a woman assaulted by her husband and U.S. Border Patrol officers; securing asylum for a Vietnam-era Army veteran threatened with deportation to Mexico; and securing citizenship for a man threatened with deportation following his arrest for more than 2,000 pounds of marijuana.
