Abstract:
Disclosed is a composition comprising or produced from asphalt, a first ethylene copolymer, and optionally a second ethylene copolymer, a polymer comprising repeat units derived from styrene, a sulfur source, or combinations of two or more thereof wherein the first ethylene copolymer comprises repeat units derived from ethylene and an epoxy-containing comonomer and the second ethylene copolymer comprises ethylene and an ester of an unsaturated carboxylic acid. Also disclosed is a process for making an asphalt composition having improved R&B softening points.
