This invention is directed toward an educational game apparatus which tests the player's ability to match a key word or key symbol to one or more subwords or subsymbols. The key and list of possible answers are provided on cards, where the correct answer to the match is noted on the card back. Correct answers by a player translate into moves for the player's pieces around the continuous playing path of a game board. To win the game, a player must land each of his playing pieces on individually lettered spaces of the playing path to spell out the name of the game (i. e. , T, H, E, S, A, U, R, U, S). Players have the opportunity during the game to increase the number of moves awarded them by gambling on the correctness of their answers. Special rules for game play arise when a player lands on a space already occupied by an opponent.

An envelope stuffing device in which no moving parts are required for opening the mouth of an envelope for the insertion of inserts therein. The stuffing device has a plurality of leaf springs, two of which are adjacent the ends of an envelope and are located directly above openings within a floor of the device. Other leaf springs are located intermediate the ends of an envelope, so that when the flap of the envelope is in registration with the leaf springs, the outer leaf springs push down on the end of the envelope and the intermediate leaf springs hold the flap on the floor, thereby causing the mouth of the envelope to open. The device includes a conveying mechanism for placing inserts into to envelope when the mouth of the envelope is open.

A control for a transport mechanism vibrating tray scale that conveys flats on and off of the platform of the tray. The scale supports a follower plate that has ramps which contact with the rollers of the transport mechanism. The follower plate is also in contact with a cam which upon rotation cause the follower plate to move within the scale. As the follower plate is moved, the rollers of the transport mechanism will move into and out an opening of the scale platform, depending upon direction of movement of the follower plate.

The inking module includes a plurality of first links extending horizontally and parallel. One end of the first links are fixably mounted to an ink pad tray, the other end of the first links having formed thereat a tilting surface. A drive means causes the first links to displace the ink pad tray to and from the first and second position. A guide means guides the first links horizontally along a linear path and including abutting means for causing the first links to tilt vertically when the tilting surface contacts the abutting means to place the ink pad tray in the second position.

A pipe harness clamp for use when two pipes, which may be of different materials, are axially coupled, includes arcuate clamping portions for contacting outer surfaces of a pipe and radially extending portions for bolting together. An elastomeric liner is fitted around the pipe, under the clamp, to assure a close fit between the pipe contour and the clamp. Stiffening gussets extend on the outside of the clamp between the arcuate clamping portions and the radially extending portions, in a plane substantially perpendicular to the axis of the pipe. Preload washers, such as disk washers, are provided on the clamping bolts to control preload. A plurality of washers may be used on each bolt. Belleville washers are preferred. The belleville washers compensate for any relaxation of the clamp halves and bolts and preload is not significantly reduced, thus maintaining load capacity of the clamp.
