Method And Apparatus For Importing Weather Data From Source External To Vehicle

US Patent:
2005019, Sep 1, 2005
Filed:
Feb 26, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/787864
Inventors:
Jason Hendry - Warren MI, US
International Classification:
G06F017/00
US Classification:
701036000, 701001000
Abstract:
A method for importing weather data into a motor vehicle for controlling at least one motor vehicle function located therein includes determining a current position of the motor vehicle. Next, weather data based on the current position of the motor vehicle is accessed from a weather data source external to the motor vehicle. At least one motor vehicle function is then controlled based on the weather data.

Rubber, Two-Shot Over-Mold Drain Grommet For Vehicle Air Conditioner

US Patent:
2008018, Aug 7, 2008
Filed:
Feb 1, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/669984
Inventors:
Brandon C. Fisk - Clarkston MI, US
Jason R. Hendry - Milford MI, US
Assignee:
DENSO INTERNATIONAL AMERICA, INC. - Southfield MI
International Classification:
F16K 15/14
US Classification:
137846
Abstract:
A drain grommet includes a grommet body and a seal assembly which are produced using a two-shot over-mold process. The seal assembly includes an outer seal lip which extends radially outward from the grommet body and a duckbill seal which is disposed within an inner diameter defined by the grommet body.

Air Conditioning Apparatus

US Patent:
2011023, Oct 6, 2011
Filed:
Jan 14, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/006568
Inventors:
JASON HENDRY - Milford MI, US
Assignee:
DENSO International America, Inc. - Southfield MI
International Classification:
F25D 17/04
US Classification:
62408
Abstract:
An air conditioning apparatus has, a first domed door comprising a first pivot and a first sealing surface, and a second domed door comprising a second pivot and a second sealing surface, wherein, said second pivot is positioned different from said second pivot. With the above structure, the radial gap between the first sealing surface and the second sealing surface is varied when at least one of the two domed doors is moved. Accordingly, the air conditioning apparatus described above does not have to set the constant small radial gap or constant wide radial gap for the sake of reducing unintentional air leaking or preventing said friction.

Heating, Ventilating And Air-Conditioning Apparatus

US Patent:
2011024, Oct 6, 2011
Filed:
Mar 30, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/749847
Inventors:
Nicholas Mazzocco - Clawson MI, US
Jason Hendry - Milford MI, US
David Korenchuk - Royal Oak MI, US
Delomer Gosioco - Royal Oak MI, US
Assignee:
DENSO INTERNATIONAL AMERICA, INC. - Southfield MI
International Classification:
B60H 1/34
B60H 3/00
G05B 15/00
US Classification:
454155, 454156, 700276
Abstract:
An HVAC system is provided for use in a vehicle having a passenger compartment volume. The HVAC system includes a HVAC housing having a duct opening formed in an exterior sidewall thereof. An evaporator is further provided for exhausting air downstream that is cooler than the air on the upstream side. An auxiliary compartment, such as a storage bin, is spaced apart from the HVAC housing, such as in a remote location of the passenger compartment. An auxiliary duct fluidly interconnects the HVAC housing and the auxiliary compartment via the duct opening for transmitting the cool exhausted air to the auxiliary compartment to provide a cooling effect within the auxiliary location. The auxiliary duct, in some embodiments, is disposed external from the HVAC housing for improved service and retrofitting to existing HVAC systems.

Heat Exchanger End Cap

US Patent:
2012022, Sep 6, 2012
Filed:
Mar 4, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/040785
Inventors:
Nicholas Mazzocco - Clawson MI, US
Jason Hendry - Milford MI, US
Assignee:
DENSO INTERNATIONAL AMERICA, INC. - Southfield MI
International Classification:
F28F 7/00
US Classification:
165185
Abstract:
A heat exchanger assembly, such as a condenser, may employ a portion of a heat exchanger end tank to define a slot with a second portion of the end tank. The first and second portions define an interior volume of the end tank. A flared end of a side plate may reside within the slot and may have a straight portion having a first width, a first step portion having a second width that is wider than the first width, and a second step portion that has a third width that is wider than the second width. The flared end may have a tab that protrudes from the second step portion and that is symmetrical about a longitudinal axis of the side plate. The end tank may define a second slot where the tab resides when the flared end resides over an entire cross-sectional portion of a volume defined by end tank.
