After nearly 20 years in the real estate profession, I'm thrilled to be managing broker for Hollywood's Powerhouse office. I fell in love with and moved to South Florida at the beginning of 2007. In my first year here, our office was declared Coldwell Banker's #1 office in Broward County. Later that year, our management team named us the "Best of Broward". I'm fortunate to be leading a terrific group of 85 professionals; the best in Hollywood and Broward County. Our company gives us tremendous tools, technology and training. This has enabled us to weather the many changes that the real estate market brings us. And think about it...whether a seller, a buyer OR an agent, what kind of company do you trust in an unsettled market? Prior to moving to Florida, I managed Coldwell Banker's Chevy Chase/Washington, DC Uptown office. My former associates still call for coaching, guidance, advice and support. I've also managed offices for the Weichert Companies and before than, a top producing associate with Long & Foster in DC and its Maryland and Virgina suburbs. I've worked for the nation's 3 largest brokerages and been a managing broker since 1995. I've "raised" many top producting agents for my companies...which I can tell you is the thrill of managment. There is nothing more rewarding than when you can take a complete novice to the real estate profession and lead them to great skill and success. Or help an agent, even a top procing one, move to the next level. If there is, it's taking a lackluster office and turning it into a regional powerhouse, as I've done several times. More about me? I grew up in the Bronx, and moved to the Chicago suburbs during high school. I earned my City Planning degree from the University of Illinois. I've worked for the City of Decatur, Illinois and moved to Washington, DC in the early 70s. There I worked for Anne Arundel County (Annapolis) and Montgomery County (Bethesda/Chevy Chase/Silver Spring), MD, as well as the National Association of Home Builders, the Urban Land Institute and the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association. For the latter 3, I worked in the capacity of land developement and government relations. I currently live a short ride from Hollywood, in Wilton Manors, FL with my partner of 5 years. And, lucky me, I serve as vice president of the Belle Isle Homeowners' Association...the things we do to ourselves. :)
