Filed:
Apr 29, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/111264
Inventors:
Jonathan C. Libby - Gray ME, US
Hitesh Patel - Pompton Lakes NJ, US
Assignee:
Teledyne LeCroy, Inc. - Thousand Oaks CA
International Classification:
G06T 11/20
US Classification:
3454401
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for displaying information on a device acquiring data is provided. The method includes the steps of receiving an input data, generating a version of the received input data to be displayed in accordance with one or more display parameters and displaying the generated version of the received input data. A requested change in one or more display parameters is received and the requested change of the one or more display parameters is implemented on the displayed data. Processing continues on the further received input data in accordance with the requested change in the one or more display parameters and the display is ultimately updated with the processed further received input data.

Processing Web For Data Processing In A Digital Oscilloscope Or Similar Instrument

US Patent:
2002009, Jul 25, 2002
Filed:
Nov 16, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/988416
Inventors:
Martin Miller - Avusy, CH
Anthony Cake - Meyrin, CH
Jonathan Libby - Gray ME, US
International Classification:
G09G005/22
G06T011/20
G06F009/00
US Classification:
345/440100, 713/001000, 315/392000
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for configuring and performing processing in a digital oscilloscope. The method comprises the steps of receiving one or more instructions and defining a plurality of processing elements based upon the received instructions. The plurality of processing elements is connected to define a processing web for performing a desired processing. The plurality of processing elements is synchronized to generate a synchronized result.

Streaming Architecture For Waveform Processing

US Patent:
2002010, Aug 15, 2002
Filed:
Nov 16, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/988120
Inventors:
Martin Miller - Avusy, CH
Jonathan Libby - Gray ME, US
Gilles Ritter - Ollon, CH
International Classification:
G01R025/00
US Classification:
324/088000
Abstract:
An oscilloscope apparatus and method of processing waveform data using a streaming architecture. The apparatus has multiple processing objects (processors) that share a common cache memory in which the waveform data is stored during processing. Each processing object performs a sequential processing operation by retrieving a “chunk” or portion of the waveform from the memory, processes the chunk of data, and re-stores the processed data into the same location in the cache memory. This process is generally repeated until the entire waveform has been sequentially processed. The apparatus operates using a “pull” design wherein the last processor requests the next chunk to be processed from the preceding processor. In this manner, the waveform data is essentially processed by pulling it through the sequence of processing objects. The multiple processing objects may be implemented as a sequence of software processing objects in a processing thread or as separate hardware processors.

User Interface For Signal Integrity Network Analyzer

US Patent:
2011028, Nov 24, 2011
Filed:
Sep 28, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/892094
Inventors:
Jonathan Libby - Gray ME, US
Hitesh Patel - Pompton Lakes NJ, US
Peter J. Pupalaikis - Ramsey NJ, US
David Graef - Campbell Hall NY, US
Assignee:
LeCroy Corporation - Chestnut Ridge NY
International Classification:
H04B 17/00
US Classification:
375224
Abstract:
A signal integrity network analyzer is provided. The analyzer preferably includes a characterization module for characterizing a device under test, an acquisition module for acquiring a waveform, a de-embedding module for selectively embedding and de-embedding on or more system fixtures, and an analysis module for performing analysis on the acquired waveform, with one or more system features selectively embedded or de-embedded. A single user interface is provided and is adapted to control the characterization module, the acquisition module, the de-embedding module and the analysis module.

Modifying Settings Of An Electronic Test Or Measurement Instrument

US Patent:
2017028, Oct 5, 2017
Filed:
Dec 21, 2016
Appl. No.:
15/386064
Inventors:
- Thousand Oaks CA, US
Jonathan C. Libby - Gray ME, US
Roger Delbue - Monroe NY, US
Robert Mart - Pearl River NY, US
Christopher Busso - Westwood NJ, US
International Classification:
G06F 3/0486
G06F 3/0488
G06F 3/0482
Abstract:
In general, the subject matter described in this disclosure can be embodied in methods, systems, and program products that include presenting, by electronic device, a user interface on a display of the electronic device. The user interface includes a trace of a first waveform, an element that presents multiple properties of the first waveform or a channel on which the first waveform was acquired, a trace of a second waveform, and a second user interface element that presents multiple properties of the second waveform or a channel on which the second waveform was acquired. The electronic device can receive user input that selects the first user interface element and then selects the second user interface element. The electronic device can apply one or more settings of the trace of the first waveform to the trace of the second waveform.
