A stereo imaging circuit has a first channel input terminal, and a second channel input terminal; a variable resistance in circuit with each of the first and the second channel input terminals; a first amplifier in the first channel in circuit with the variable resistance, an output of the first amplifier in the first channel providing an input to a second amplifier in the first channel, an output of the second amplifier in said first channel providing an output of the first channel to a first channel output terminal; a first amplifier in the second channel in circuit with said variable resistance, an output of said first amplifier in said second channel providing an input to a second amplifier in the second channel, an output of the second amplifier in the second channel providing an output of the second channel to a second channel output terminal; a first interchannel amplifier having a variable transfer ratio and having an input in circuit with the first channel and an output in circuit with the second channel; a second interchannel amplifier having a variable transfer ratio and having an input in circuit with the second channel and an output in circuit with the first channel; the variable transfer ratio of the first and the second interchannel amplifiers being responsive to said variable resistance, whereby a stereo image circuit is provided which ranges between a MONO mode through a STEREO mode to a WIDE mode.

The apparatus for axially moving the tube includes a cylinder and piston assembly; and a clamp engaging the tube and operatively connected to the cylinder of the cylinder and piston assembly. In some forms of the invention the apparatus for mounting includes at least a one or two linear motion bearings and first and second shafts cooperating respectively with the first and second linear motion bearings as well as first and second beams disposed for supporting respectively the first and second shafts.

A mono/stereo switching circuit wherein first, second, and third switches operate in circuit which is arranged so that (1) when the first switch is engaged, and the mono/stereo switch is engaged, the signal at a first mono input is provided to both of a pair of left and right output channels; (2) when the second switch is engaged and the mono/stereo switch is not engaged, the signal at a second mono input is provided to both of the pair of left and right output channels; and (3) when the input signal is a stereo signal at the first and second inputs, and either of the first and second switches is engaged, and the mono/stereo switch is engaged, the input signal at the first input terminal is provided at the left channel output while the input signal at the second input terminal is provided at the right channel output.

Apparatus in the plug cooperates with the plurality of channels to define a bayonet type receiving structure dimensioned and configured for receiving the plurality of axially extending ribs and allowing relative rotational movement between the plug and the ribs to produce locking engagement therebetween. In some forms of the apparatus the apparatus for cooling the tube includes a concentric hollow internal member for directing flow of a coolant along the axial extent of the tube.

The invention in its main aspect comprises a printed circuit board having a bus extending along a predetermined length of a portion of said printed circuit board, the bus having a predetermined width and defining a plurality of openings therein following a predetermined regular pattern, the pattern having at least a first pair of openings positioned on a first lateral side of an imaginary line along the bus, and at least a second pair of openings positioned on a second lateral side of the imaginary line along the bus, the first and the second pairs of openings being relatively arranged so that a first lead interconnecting the first pair of openings is in a twisted pair relationship with a second lead interconnecting the second pair of openings.
