Display Of Supplemental Bolus In Relation To Programmed Dose

US Patent:
2010018, Jul 22, 2010
Filed:
Jan 21, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/691513
Inventors:
Sarah B. Alme - Blaine MN, US
Touby A. Drew - Golden Valley MN, US
Lance Beall - Andover MN, US
Assignee:
Medtronic, Inc. - Minneapolis MN
International Classification:
A61M 31/00
G06F 3/048
US Classification:
6048911, 715772
Abstract:
Techniques are described for displaying a representation of a supplemental bolus and a representation of programmed doses of a therapy schedule for an implantable fluid delivery device with a programmer device. In one example, a device includes a user interface to present a graphical representation of doses of fluid to be delivered to a patient via an implantable fluid delivery device and a processor that controls the user interface to simultaneously present a first graphical representation of a supplemental bolus to be delivered by the implantable fluid delivery device and a second graphical representation of programmed doses of a therapy schedule of the implantable fluid delivery device, wherein at least a portion of the programmed doses of the therapy schedule follows delivery of the supplemental bolus by the implantable fluid delivery device. A user of the device may determine whether the representations indicate an excessive dosage risk to the patient.

Apparatus And Method For Serving Medical Device Application Content To A Remote Computing Device

US Patent:
2005006, Mar 24, 2005
Filed:
Sep 23, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/949627
Inventors:
Steven Goetz - Brooklyn Center MN, US
Duane Bourget - Albertville MN, US
Lance Beall - Andover MN, US
David Lee - Apple Valley MN, US
International Classification:
A61B019/00
US Classification:
128899000, 128903000, 128904000
Abstract:
A telemetry interface module according to the invention may be utilized to facilitate remote programming of a patient medical device such as an implantable medical device. The telemetry interface module includes processing logic, memory, and various software/firmware applications that are capable of generating a user interface (“UI”) description for transmission to a remote computing device. The UI description is transmitted in accordance with a standardized data communication protocol, and the remote computing device renders a UI in response to the received UI description. The remote computing device processes and renders the UI using its native operating system and native UI controls, thus eliminating the need for computing hardware customized for the particular medical device telemetry application.

Shape Control For Electrical Stimulation Therapy

US Patent:
2021023, Aug 5, 2021
Filed:
Feb 3, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/780633
Inventors:
- Minneapolis MN, US
Alicia Weller Thompson - Coon Rapids MN, US
Susan E. Heilman Kilbane - Deephaven MN, US
Lance Beall - Andover MN, US
Brendan J. Young-Dixon - St. Paul MN, US
Rebecca A Miron - Center City MN, US
Rebecca J.S. Haag - Broomfield CO, US
International Classification:
A61N 1/36
A61N 1/02
A61N 1/372
Abstract:
Devices, systems, and techniques are described for adjusting therapy parameters defining electrical stimulation therapy delivered by multiple electrodes while maintaining a ratio of a value of a therapy parameter between the multiple electrodes. In one example, a device defines a relationship for multiple electrodes that defines a ratio of a value of a therapy parameter between the multiple electrodes. The device performs a master adjustment that adjusts each value of the therapy parameter for each respective electrode of the multiple electrodes by an amount specified by the relationship to maintain the ratio of the value of the therapy parameter between the multiple electrodes. The device controls delivery of electrical stimulation therapy according to the master adjustment.

Independent Control Of Electrical Stimulation Amplitude For Electrodes For Delivery Of Electrical Stimulation Therapy

US Patent:
2021015, May 27, 2021
Filed:
Nov 25, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/694549
Inventors:
- Minneapolis MN, US
Alicia Weller Thompson - Coon Rapids MN, US
Cheryl Peskar - Woodbury MN, US
Lance Beall - Andover MN, US
Susan Heilman Kilbane - Deephaven MN, US
International Classification:
A61N 1/36
A61N 1/02
A61N 1/05
Abstract:
Techniques are described, for medical devices that deliver electrical stimulation using current or voltage regulators having an adjustable master amplitude. One example method includes receiving, via a programmer for an electrical stimulator, user input indicating a desired electrical current amplitude, and selecting a first fraction adjustment or a second fraction adjustment, as a target adjustment for achieving the desired electrical current amplitude.
