Vashon Island Lifestyle Having lived on Vashon for 25 years, I have an extensive knowledge of the community. Real Estate Experience My Real Estate career began in 1994 when I earned my RE license to assist my husband, who was the assistant Broker in our office at that time. In 1997 we purchased the Vashon Windermere business and I have continued to work as an independent agent. I have earned my GRI (Graduate of Real Estate Institute) rating and am currently attending classes to earn my Associate Broker license. I have been a top producing agent on Vashon since 1997, when I sold the first $1,000,000 home on the island. Recently, we moved into our new office, located on the main highway in the heart of the town of Vashon. Community Involvement My husband and I moved to the island to raise our five sons in a safe, rural environment. I quickly became an active volunteer of the Vashon community, having served on numerous local boards including a founding board member for the YMCA, the Vashon Senior Services Board, the Vashon Youth & Family Services Board, an active member of Rotary, Ryther Child Center Vashon Chapter, current board member of Vashon Community Care Center and President of the Vashon Chamber of Commerce, member of Seattle Execs and active in my church. As a Windermere agent, a portion of my commission helps support the community through a donation to the Windermere Foundation.
