An ear tip for an earpiece including a body, an insertion end, and a retention structure. Some examples include an elongated fin along a portion of an outer leg of the retention structure. Some examples include an extended insertion end configured to insert further into a user's ear canal and including a mushroom cap for providing contact with an interior portion of the user's ear canal and to form an acoustic seal. Some examples may include an umbrella associated with the insertion end, between the mushroom cap and the body. A wind noise reduction system includes a delay and sum (DAS) beamformer, an MVDR beamformer, a wind detector, a GEV beamformer, and a fixed voice mixer. The DAS beamformer generates a first voice signal based on a first and second microphone signal. The MVDR beamformer generates a second voice signal based on the first and second microphone signals. The GEV beamformer generates a wind array voice signal based on the first and second microphone signals and an accelerometer signal. The wind detector generates a wind detection signal based on the first voice signal and the second voice signal. The fixed voice mixer generates an output voice signal based on a microphone array voice signal, the wind array voice signal, and the wind detector signal. If high winds are detected, the output voice signal includes elements of the wind array voice signal based in part on the accelerometer signal.

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for stimulating meibomian gland epithelial cell function by administering to the ocular surface or immediate vicinity of an eye of a subject an effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition containing a PLD-inducing compound, such as the cationic amphiphilic drugs (e.g. azithromycin), androgen or an androgen analogue with androgen effectiveness, corticosteroid, progesterone, IGF-1 or an IGF-1 analogue (e.g. insulin), GH, and mixtures thereof. The pharmaceutical compositions are effective to treat a variety of aliments to the eye including meibomian gland dysfunction, evaporative dry eye disease, lipid abnormalities in meibum or the tear film, and autoimmune diseases such as Sjögren's syndrome.
