Box Frame Assembly

US Patent:
6615562, Sep 9, 2003
Filed:
Sep 13, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/953111
Inventors:
Mark Fritsche - Eagan MN
Dan Berg - Minneapolis MN
Jason Johnson - Minneapolis MN
Assignee:
Skyline Displays, Inc. - Eagan MN
International Classification:
E04H 1200
US Classification:
52696, 52690, 527301, 527311
Abstract:
The elongated box frame structure of the present invention comprises a plurality of frame segments attached to at least one end piece. Preferably, two end pieces are attached, one at each end of the plurality of frame segments. The plurality of frame segments are attached to the end piece such that a column-like structure is formed. The inner space defined within the frame segments is substantially free of webbing. Instead, structural strength and stability is achieved by the attached end pieces. The end pieces of one elongated box frame structure are capable of removably connecting with the end piece of other similar elongated box frame structures to achieve varying framing heights and other dynamic configurations.

Screen Mounting Apparatus

US Patent:
6659159, Dec 9, 2003
Filed:
Sep 13, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/953099
Inventors:
Mark Fritsche - Eagan MN
Dan Berg - Minneapolis MN
Jason Johnson - Minneapolis MN
Assignee:
Skyline Displays, Inc. - Eagan MN
International Classification:
A47G 500
US Classification:
160371, 160135, 160351, 40610
Abstract:
A screen mounting apparatus for mounting a graphic display screen for use with display stands or booths, such as those used in trade shows and other exhibitions. The apparatus is designed to receive, generally by adhesive affixation, a display graphics screen such that generally the entire length of one of the screen edges is affixed to the apparatus, with the length of the screen edge and the apparatus generally equaling that of the corresponding display frame segment. Additionally, the screen mounting apparatus includes an elastic portion which permits a limited degree of resilient movement when force is placed upon the screen at assembly and disassembly. The tension force required to mount the apparatus and the affixed screen to a display frame is thus distributed along the entire surface of the apparatus and screen, and not at isolated fastening points.

Display With Appurtenance Attachment System

US Patent:
6712229, Mar 30, 2004
Filed:
Sep 13, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/953098
Inventors:
Mark Fritsche - Eagan MN
Dan Berg - Minneapolis MN
Jason Johnson - Minneapolis MN
Assignee:
Skyline Displays, Inc. - Eagan MN
International Classification:
A47B 4700
US Classification:
211189, 211192, 211103, 211207
Abstract:
The frame attachment system is a unitary-bodied frame attachment member being selectively and removably attachable to a vertical column member for attaching shelving brackets, and attachments of the like. The frame attachment system essentially includes three portions: a bracing portion, a grasping portion, and a slot portion. The grasping portion is substantially u-shaped for attachment around the vertical column member with the bracing portion being in perpendicular opposition to the grasping portion. The slot portion is proximate the bracing portion and includes a plurality of slots capable of receiving shelving brackets such that the insertion of a shelving bracket results in the bracket flushly resting against the vertical column member and thus limiting movement of the frame attachment member. Various fasteners, such as a magnet, can be fixed to the inner surface of the grasping portion to better facilitate attachment of the grasping portion to the vertical column member prior to receipt of the shelving bracket.

Modular Multi-Configurable Display System

US Patent:
7040064, May 9, 2006
Filed:
Sep 13, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/939532
Inventors:
Mark Fritsche - Eagan MN, US
Dan Berg - Minneapolis MN, US
Jason Johnson - Minneapolis MN, US
Assignee:
Skyline Displays, Inc. - Eagan MN
International Classification:
E04H 1/00
US Classification:
52239, 160135
Abstract:
The modular multi-configurable display has a series of box frames and provides variable positioning for appurtenances. The display can include a plurality of vertical columns, and generally horizontal trusses. The columns are capable of receiving the trusses at each end of the columns. Each box frame can be stackable with another box frame such that the vertical span of the display is adjustable. Appurtenance can be attached at various positioning locations to the display such that a myriad of modular configuration combinations are available to an exhibitor.
