Martin spent four years in retail sales, followed by three years with Dole Fresh Fruit, before starting his own graphics printing business in 1987. Professional Color Imaging quickly became an important supplier to Salt Lake, Denver, Boise, and Albuquerque advertising agencies. PCI won numerous awards from the American Advertising Association, and even had three of their prints featured in Prints Best Typography 1992. Other notable oversized graphics included, Novell’s Brainshare Conventions, The Festival of Trees, the NBA All-Star Weekend, and the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
