Filed:
Oct 21, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/659011
Inventors:
- King of Prussia PA, US
Robert Morris - Gwynedd Valley PA, US
William Duffield - Collegeville PA, US
Megan A. Stauffer - Wayne PA, US
Mathew Gordon - Collegeville PA, US
Joseph M. Nyahay - Eagleville PA, US
International Classification:
A61F 2/30

A61F 2/42
A61F 2/44
A61F 2/02
A61B 17/70
A61B 17/80
Abstract:
An implant may include a body having a leading edge portion, a trailing edge portion, and an intermediate portion. The leading edge portion may include a substantially smooth surface forming a substantial majority of a leading edge surface and the trailing edge portion may include a monolithic structure including at least one receptacle configured to receive an insertion tool. The intermediate portion may include a plurality of elongate curved structural members continuously formed with at least one of the leading edge portion and the trailing edge portion. In addition, the elongate curved structural members may be configured such that the intermediate portion remains substantially rigid under compressive forces during insertion of the implant between bone surfaces of a patient. Also, the elongate curved structural members may include an elongate curved structural member extending longitudinally from the leading edge portion to the trailing edge portion and having a substantially sinusoidal configuration.

Coiled Implants And Systems And Methods Of Use Thereof

US Patent:
2020003, Feb 6, 2020
Filed:
Oct 4, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/593101
Inventors:
- King of Prussia PA, US
William Duffield - Collegeville PA, US
Edward McShane - Collegeville PA, US
Megan Stauffer - Wayne PA, US
International Classification:
A61F 2/44
A61F 2/30
Abstract:
An intervertebral implant may include an anterior plate forming a first monolithic structure defining a first end of the implant, and including at least two screw holes each configured to receive a bone screw; and a plurality of coils extending from the anterior plate about a periphery of the implant. The screw holes may be angled such that, when the implant is inserted between two adjacent vertebrae, bone screws are guided into the adjacent vertebrae.

Coiled Implants And Systems And Methods Of Use Thereof

US Patent:
2018022, Aug 9, 2018
Filed:
Jan 31, 2018
Appl. No.:
15/885418
Inventors:
- Wayne PA, US
William Duffield - Collegeville PA, US
Edward McShane - Collegeville PA, US
Megan Stauffer - Wayne PA, US
International Classification:
A61F 2/44
A61F 2/30
Abstract:
An implant includes an anterior plate defining a first end of the implant and a posterior plate defining a second end of the implant opposite the first end of the implant. The implant also includes a central support portion extending between the anterior plate and the posterior plate. The implant further includes a side wall extending between the anterior plate and the posterior plate and defining a portion of the outside perimeter of the implant; a first exterior arced member disposed proximate the side wall and the posterior plate; and a first interior arced member is disposed proximate the central support member and the posterior plate. The exterior arced member and the interior arced member curve in a superior direction such that portions of the exterior and interior arced members form portions of a bone contacting superior surface of the implant.

Coiled Implants And Systems And Methods Of Use Thereof

US Patent:
2016032, Nov 10, 2016
Filed:
Apr 28, 2016
Appl. No.:
15/141655
Inventors:
- Wayne PA, US
William Duffield - Collegeville PA, US
Edward McShane - Collegeville PA, US
Megan Stauffer - Wayne PA, US
International Classification:
A61F 2/44
Abstract:
Implants, systems and methods of making and using thereof are described herein. The implants are formed from one or more coils, preferably a plurality of coils. Optionally the coils are included in a set or group of more than one coil. Optionally, the implant is symmetric about one or more planes. Typically an implant includes at least two coils (or sets or groups of coils) that are adjacent to each other intersect with each other at one or more intersection regions. Two or more coils may intersect at a plurality of intersection regions, optionally along an array of intersection regions, within the implant or on the outer side wall of the implant. Optionally, the implants include one or more plates to aid in fixation and/or insertion. The implants may be used in a variety of different spaces in the body that require bone growth.
