Abstract:
A gene overexpressed in taxol-resistant cancer cell lines is disclosed. The gene is designated Taxol Resistance Associated Gene-3 (âTRAG-3â). At least two alternatively spliced forms of TRAG-3 exist. TRAG-3 polypeptides, TRAG-3 antibodies, and TRAG-3-related screening methods useful in drug discovery are also disclosed.
