Played Dr. Zaius in the original 1966 test film shot with Charlton Heston for Planet of the Apes (1968). He had to drop out of the rolewhen production started on the film a year later because he didn't likewearing the ape makeup.

If I were just a bit taller and I was a little more handsome orsomething like that, I could have played all the roles that I haveplayed, and played many more. It kept me from certainroles that I might have had, but then, it kept others from playing myroles, so I don't know that it's not altogether balanced.
