When working with his clients, Peter Lennox is very attentive and present with whomever he is with; because there's nothing more frustrating, he says, than speaking with someone and feeling they've not heard a word you've said. Once he does hear what a client wants, Peter makes sure to deliver what's best for their needs, not his, providing excellent service first at all times. Peter doesn't define his job by his commission check; to him it's a service business built on personal relationships. He doesn't see a 'banker' or 'barista' when he meets someone new, but rather, a Mary or John as one human being interacting with another. "If you start from there, it's much more rewarding and beneficial ultimately than trying to find some particular 'angle.' You are there to serve your client; it you are serving anyone else, such as yourself, before the client, you're simply not doing your job." Peter is the type who will lose sleep if he hasn't done his full due diligence for someone. He understands the magnitude and stress of buying and renting property in Manhattan, and doesn't reel clients in by trying to steer them where HE wants you to go. Peter actually helps you tease out what you want, what you need and what you can afford, and assists in navigating you through the complex NYC market toward the right home for you. Before real estate, Peter worked in IT for two major investment banks over 15 years. His technical knowledge is complemented by his ability to take the myriad of information out there and communicate it in a way that is meaningful to each client. Born in San Francisco, Peter was raised in New York and has lived in different places over the years, from Queens and Long Island to Murray Hill, Gramercy and Brooklyn Heights. He speaks fluent Russian, English, Polish, French, and is in the process of learning Italian. Peter holds a BA in Film Studies from Columbia University. He is an avid skydiver, surfer, snowboarder, scuba diver and biker who loves riding his motorcycle along the winding roads of the beautiful 'Gold Coast' section of Long Island.
