Just-In-Time Training Of Deployed Skill Support Personnel Via Cell Phone Multimedia

US Patent:
8131311, Mar 6, 2012
Filed:
Mar 25, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/055123
Inventors:
Cesar Bandera - East Brunswick NJ, US
Peter Schmitt - Mountain Lakes NJ, US
Ed DeFrank - Northridge CA, US
William Hart - Capitola CA, US
Assignee:
Bandemar Networks, LLC - East Brunswick NJ
International Classification:
H04W 4/00
US Classification:
455466, 370465
Abstract:
A content delivery system, such as a Just in Time Training (JITT) system which allows the broadcast of multimedia messages to recipients or users. The JITT system identifies the multimedia capabilities as well as the capabilities of the service provider and recipient device for each user and uses this profile information to determine an appropriate messaging format to use to send the message to each user. User involvement is used to determine the functionality and content type delivery for each user mobile device. This profiling may be performed in any of a number of different ways, including smart echo, caller-ID initiated (CIDI) and SMS initiated (SMSI) profiling. In smart echo profiling, the user sends the JITT system a multimedia sample from the mobile device, and the JITT system then sends messages and content to the mobile devise using the same format. In CIDI profiling, the JITT system sends test messages in different formats to the phone number of the device, and the user replies to the message having the best audiovisual experience. The system then uses the format associated with the reply message for further communications with the user.

Yarn Wrapped Ptfe Tubular Prosthesis

US Patent:
5607478, Mar 4, 1997
Filed:
Mar 14, 1996
Appl. No.:
8/616047
Inventors:
David J. Lentz - Randolph NJ
Nick Popadiuk - Hillsborough NJ
Peter Schmitt - Garnerville NY
Edward J. Dormier - Rockaway NJ
Richard J. Zdrahala - Montville NJ
Assignee:
Meadox Medicals Inc. - Oakland NJ
International Classification:
A61F 204
A61F 206
US Classification:
623 12
Abstract:
An implantable microporous ePTFE tubular vascular graft exhibits long-term patency, superior radial tensile strength, reduction in tear propagation, and increases in suture retention strength and crush resistance. The graft includes an ePTFE tubular structure having a preselected microporous structure. The tubular structure is wrapped externally with a PTFE yarn in a helical fashion. The helical wrap of yarn is bonded to the exterior surface of the tubular structure by application of heat or heat in combination with force to form a composite structure which substantially maintains the porosity of the underlying tubular structure while increasing the suture retention strength, radial tensile strength, crush resistance, and tear propagation resistance.
