Jan 9, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/754873
Inventors:
Rejean Houle - Tulare CA, US
International Classification:
F04B 43/12
US Classification:
417 53, 4174239
Abstract:
A zero maintenance pump includes a motor having a motor housing and a motor drive shaft rotatably mounted in the motor housing. A shaft extension is coupled to the motor drive shaft distal from the motor housing. A coupling element has a body with a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The body includes a body wall defining an interior and an exterior. At least one slot is formed in the body wall. The coupling element includes a flange coupled to the body wall proximate the first end. The coupling element is coupled to the motor housing at the flange proximate the motor drive shaft and the coupling element is disposed over the shaft extension. A mesh element is coupled to the body wall at the exterior. A pump is coupled to the coupling element proximate the second end.

Apparatus And Method For Removing Solid Debris From Slurry Processing System

US Patent:
8557127, Oct 15, 2013
Filed:
Oct 26, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/282398
Inventors:
Rejean Houle - Tulare CA, US
International Classification:
B01D 37/00
B01D 29/64
US Classification:
210768, 210255, 210526, 210528, 210413, 209241, 209 17, 209273, 119451
Abstract:
A separator system for separating the solids debris from a slurry flowing over a spillway from a storage pit includes a horizontal conveyor horizontally disposed across a flowpath of the slurry below the spillway and including a channel defined by a pair of opposed side members extending upward from a bottom plate having a pattern of perforations formed therein. A plurality of spaced apart paddles oriented in a direction parallel to the channel are fixed to continuous conveyor drive running along the bottom of the trough. A conveyor has a pickup end disposed below the downstream end of the trough and is positioned to catch solid debris that has been carried along by the paddles and convey the solid debris out of the slurry stream.

Three-Stage Slurry Processing Apparatus And Method

US Patent:
8562832, Oct 22, 2013
Filed:
Oct 26, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/282395
Inventors:
Rejean Houle - Tulare CA, US
International Classification:
B01D 29/72
B07B 1/00
B07B 1/12
US Classification:
210255, 210258, 210262, 210297, 2103231, 210388, 210407, 2104161, 209 17, 209268, 209269, 209273, 209274, 209282
Abstract:
A three-stage separator system for separating the solids and liquids from a slurry includes a first stage having an inclined housing defining a liquid channel. A slot sieve is disposed over an open surface of the channel. A mechanical vibrator assembly imparts mechanical vibration to a vibration zone of the slot sieve. A slurry delivery apparatus delivers the slurry to the slot sieve. A second stage includes an inclined conveyer positioned to convey partially-separated solids and includes a drive mechanism driven at a speed to cause the partially-separated solids to tumble as they are transported up the conveyor. A third stage includes a press positioned to accept partially-separated solids passing out of the tunnel press restrictor.

Vibrating Slot Sieve Slurry Processing Apparatus And Method

US Patent:
2013010, May 2, 2013
Filed:
Oct 26, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/282403
Inventors:
Rejean Houle - Tulare CA, US
International Classification:
B01D 33/03
B01D 33/54
US Classification:
210785, 210389
Abstract:
A separator for separating solids and liquids from slurry includes a housing defining a liquid channel and oriented at an acute angle such that a top end is positioned higher than a lower end. A slot sieve extends between and supported at opposing side edges of the housing and is suspended above the liquid channel, the slot sieve including a vibration zone and at least one reaction zone. A slurry delivery apparatus positioned to deliver slurry to the top end of the slot sieve. A liquid removal conduit fluidly coupled to the bottom of the liquid channel. A mechanical vibrator assembly is coupled to the vibration zone of the slot sieve to directly impart mechanical vibration to the reaction zone of the slot sieve and to couple the mechanical vibration to the at least one reaction zone of the slot sieve to dislodge solids from slots of the slot sieve.

Method And Apparatus For Separating Solid Material From Water Used To Flush Livestock Flush Lanes

US Patent:
6531057, Mar 11, 2003
Filed:
May 25, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/865818
Inventors:
Rejean Houle - Tulare CA, 93274
International Classification:
B01D 2124
US Classification:
210104, 210138, 210170, 2101951, 210196, 210747, 210790, 119450, 119527
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for flushing flush lanes comprising providing a process pit to recycle flushed water; providing a solid waste separator; providing a storage lagoon; pumping a first selected volume of water from the storage lagoon and a second volume of water from the process pit through the flush lanes; collecting water flushed through the flush lanes and solid waste carried therewith in the process pit; separating solid waste from a third volume water from the process pit in said solid waste separator and returning the third volume of water less the solid waste to the storage lagoon.

Screw Press For Separation Of Liquid From Bulk Materials

US Patent:
2016017, Jun 23, 2016
Filed:
Dec 22, 2014
Appl. No.:
14/578859
Inventors:
Rejean Houle - Tulare CA, US
International Classification:
B30B 9/12
B30B 9/14
Abstract:
A screw press liquid separator includes a perforated screw cradle disposed within a housing. A screw is formed on a shaft within the screw cradle. A second portion of the screw extends to a discharge end and is completely surrounded by a compression portion of the cradle. A first portion of the shaft has a first diameter extending the length of the screw, and a second portion of the shaft within the compression portion and extending past the output end of the screw has a second larger diameter. A transition portion of the shaft tapers from the second diameter to the first diameter. Discharge guides extend from the discharge end of the housing. Discharge doors are pivotally mounted to the discharge end of the housing and are biased to close against the discharge end of the housing. Paddles radially extend from the shaft outside of the discharge doors.
