Abstract:
A body bag for water retrieval of human remains is provided. The body bag is lightweight and disposable. The body bag is made of a material having a hole ratio per unit weight of material in a particular range that permits rapid water drainage yet provides sufficient strength and integrity to the body bag, and reduces cross-contamination. The body bag can have a skid pad on an exterior surface as an aid to lifting the body bag out of the water and over the gunwale or sides of a recovery vehicle. The body bag also can have large handles for ease of gripping and to attach buoyancy devices. The body bag further can have a snag line around its periphery.

Abstract:
The present disclosure is a disposable transporter that is absorbent, portable, and lightweight, and having sufficient strength to carry an injured soldier or medical patient. The transporter has a backing substrate, absorbent body, and gripping device. The gripping device permits manual carrying or insertion of poles to form a litter or portable cot. The absorbent body may have active agents that kill microorganisms to reduce the risk of contamination, infection, and odors from blood or other body fluids. The disclosure provides a process for producing base materials for the transporter. Also disclosed is a transporter kit having a transporter and a water-resistant case.

Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a method of packaging a continuous length of a product or material in a container using rows or layers that are indexed a pre-determined distance when placed on a previous row or layer. The method permits an end-user to dispense the entire contents of a container with one set-up, and eliminates the need to splice within the box to obtain a continuous supply of the product. The indexed layers form horizontal layers that provide stability and balance to the container while the product or material is dispensed by an end-user. Indexed layers provide a natural separation plane between adjacent layers so that the product or material can be dispensed more quickly. A container that is packaged and filled using indexed rows or layers of a product or material by the method is also disclosed.

The present disclosure is a lightweight, absorbent body bag. The body bag is portable and disposable. The body bag has a backing substrate, an absorbent body, a cover with a recloseable flap that can be opened and closed to permit a body to be placed within and removed from the body bag, and gripping devices along the edges to permit easy transportation. A patient transporter having inflatable chambers or channels that provides improved support, rigidity, and height is disclosed. The patient transporter is lightweight, portable and durable. The inflatable chambers also provide buoyancy. A skid plate on the bottom surface of the transporter allows the transporter to be easily pulled over the ground when transporting a person.
