As a volunteer side project, I wrote a custom Content Management System (CMS) for Classical Music For The World (www.classicalmusicfortheworld.org) written in python utilizing the Django Web Framework. In addition to page editing and menu management, the CMS system includes an event manager that allows the user to create event pages that automatically show up in the proper section of the website based on the date of the event, a program manager that is automatically organized on the "programs" page and a fully functional mass emailer that handles multiple custom newsletter/email lists that patrons of the organization can subscribe to and unsubscribe from, allowing the organizers of the non-profit to be free from third party contact systems.
