Slip Inhibiting Boat Propeller

US Patent:
6352408, Mar 5, 2002
Filed:
Oct 16, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/687103
Inventors:
Robert B. Kilian - San Leandro CA, 94577
Assignee:
Robert B. Kilian - San Lorenzo CA
International Classification:
F04D 2938
US Classification:
416191, 416237, 416235, 416236 A, 416192
Abstract:
Efficiency of a boat propeller is increased by curved flanges extending along the tips of the propeller blades. The flanges form projections at the blade tips which deflect water that flows radially towards the tips outward into the thrust producing water flow through the propeller. The flanges have arcuate outer surfaces that face away from the propeller hub and which have a center of curvature at the axis of rotation of the propeller. Arcuate inner surfaces of the flanges have centers of curvature which are offset from the axis of rotation. This flange configuration inhibits cavitation in the region of the flanges and also at the hub region of the propeller.

Ceiling System

US Patent:
2022031, Oct 6, 2022
Filed:
Mar 25, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/704265
Inventors:
- Gardena CA, US
Robert Kilian - Venice CA, US
Kevin Kane - Los Angeles CA, US
John Johnston - Beaumont CA, US
Moti Tavassoli - Los Angeles CA, US
Keith Berry - Marina Del Rey CA, US
International Classification:
E04B 9/06
E04B 9/00
Abstract:
A ceiling system which includes support beams, elongated covers that at least partially cove the support beams, and baffles which attach to the support beams. The support beams may have a vertical web portion, a flange portion at a top end of the vertical web portion, and bulb portion at a bottom end of the vertical web portion. The elongated may have a cover body and a cover slot in a top surface of the cover body. The elongated covers may be mounted to the support beams so that the bulb portions of the support beams are located within the cover slots of the elongated covers. The baffles may extend between and be mounted to adjacent ones of the plurality of support beams so that the baffles extends into notches of the elongated covers and the bulb portions of the support beams are located within slots of the baffle.

Architectural Panel And Method For Manufacturing The Same

US Patent:
2023002, Jan 26, 2023
Filed:
Jul 13, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/864142
Inventors:
- Gardena CA, US
Robert Kilian - Venice CA, US
Kevin Kane - Los Angeles CA, US
Moti Tavassoli - Culver City CA, US
John Johnston - North Hollywood CA, US
International Classification:
B21D 28/26
B21D 5/16
B21D 28/24
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing an architectural panel and an architectural panel made by the method. The architectural panel may be formed from metal, and the method may start with the processing of a flat metal sheet. The method may include punching holes in a particular pattern into the flat metal sheet, bending the flat metal sheet into a particular shape to form a panel that can be hung from an overhead grid or the like, and printing a desired printing pattern onto the panel. The method may also include a step of coating the panel with a powder coating or a liquid-applied paint finish prior to the printing step. The coating step may occur after the punching step and before the printing step.
