Certified in CPR and AED with the American Heart Association. Experienced in ortho, med/surge, ICU, cardiac step down, and cardiac ICU. Experienced in preparing patients for surgery (Hibaclense), knowledgeable in medical asepsis and PACU. Also experienced in pulling sheaths and stints after cardiac catheterizations, and holding pressure over the artery, and have also assisted in cardiac catheterizations. CLERICAL SKILLS: Excellent knowledge of medical terminology, familiar with HIPAA and OSHA guidelines and confidentiality. Experienced in computerized patient charting, such as Epic, Data Exchange, Century and Global Cardio. Experienced in supply management, infection control and creating a safe, organized effective environment. All with excellent communication skills, customer service skills and bedside manner.
