Decorative Mailbox

US Patent:
7111772, Sep 26, 2006
Filed:
Nov 14, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/271820
Inventors:
Stuart J. MacNeill - Kittery ME, US
International Classification:
B65G 11/04
US Classification:
232 45, 232 28, 232 38
Abstract:
The decorative mailbox is of two-piece design, having a lower portion and an upper portion. The lower portion is a box-like receptacle adapted to receive and contain mail items therein. The upper portion is designed in the shape of a motor vehicle. The vehicle may be of any make and/or model. NASCAR vehicles, trucks and sports cars would probably be desirable. The upper portion is hinged to the lower portion at their respective rear ends in a manner that allows the upper portion to be pivoted upward. A ratchet mechanism allows the upper portion to remain stationary in at least two raised positions. A snap mechanism is disposed at the front ends of the two portions to retain the upper portion in a closed position when desired.

Magnetic Coaxial Connector

US Patent:
5401175, Mar 28, 1995
Filed:
Jun 25, 1993
Appl. No.:
8/083086
Inventors:
Ronald Guimond - Amesbury MA
Stuart J. MacNeill - York Beach ME
Assignee:
M/A-Com, Inc. - Lowell MA
International Classification:
H01R 1130
US Classification:
439 38
Abstract:
Several embodiments are shown for a quick connect/disconnect microwave coaxial connector which is held together under magnetic force. In one embodiment, the ends of coaxial cables are provided with annular magnets and the end faces ground flat. A good low SWR coaxial connection is made and held by simply pushing the ends together. In another embodiment, ring magnets are employed to hold standard coaxial ends together while enabling their disconnection by pulling them apart. A magnetic adapter is used to facilitate coaxial connections.

Coupling Mechanism With Locking And Torque Limiting Features

US Patent:
6086282, Jul 11, 2000
Filed:
Feb 12, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/022606
Inventors:
Kevin Charles Dutt - Southborough MA
Raymond Sydney Schwartz - Atkinson NH
Stuart Joesph MacNeill - Kittery ME
Assignee:
The Whitaker Corporation - Wilmington DE
International Classification:
F16D 702
US Classification:
403 41
Abstract:
A coupling mechanism (1) has a threaded body (12) adapted to establish a threaded coupling when rotated, a housing (2) being rotatable by the application of torque thereto, a thrust member (6) coupling the threaded body (12) and the housing (2) for rotation together until a torque limit is attained, and the thrust member (6) decoupling from the threaded body (12) by displacement of the thrust member (6) against frictional resistance of peaked ridges (16) and a bias by a resilient spring (5).
