A vertical blind structure includes a plurality of slats, each slat including an elongated, substantially rectangular, center panel having opposite longitudinal edges, a small thickness and a center longitudinal axis, each center panel being formed of a fabric structure including a plurality of weft yarns extending in the widthwise direction of the slat and a plurality of warp yarns which secure the weft yarns together and which extend in the lengthwise direction of the slat, first and second fringes formed at opposite longitudinal edges of each center panel, each fringe including a plurality of loose fibers which are formed as extensions of the weft yarns and which extend outwardly in the widthwise direction, past the outermost runs of the warp yarns, and which fan out from the longitudinal edges of the center panel such that the fringes have an outer longitudinal edge with a thickness greater than the thickness of the center panel, and a stiffening coating applied to only one side of each center panel; and a support assembly for rotatably supporting the slats in a substantially parallel, vertically oriented relation such that each slat can rotate about its center longitudinal axis.

In a device for forming pleats in a drapery or the like of the type comprising a strip of relatively stiff material backing, for instance buckram, in the form of a band formed with transverse parallel equally spaced score lines along which the stiff material backing may be folded for the purpose of forming pleats in a flexible fabric to which it is engaged, the improvements comprising the stiff material backing with a pair of longitudinal parallel equally spaced printed score lines correspondingly parallel to the longitudinal edges of the stiff material backing along which the stiff material backing may be sewn into the fabric to be pleated, providing the stiff material backing with indicia identifying to the operator the manner in which the pleat is to be formed in the fabric, pre-marking the stiff material backing with a transferable means for pre-measuring and stitching each group of pleats formed in the fabric and providing the stiff material backing with aligned transferable markings at which the formed pleat may be tacked for finishing the pleat.

A container structure and a method to extract salt water from ocean is disclosed herein. The container provides a simple and cost-effective method for filling multiple bottles with salt water simultaneously. The container has perforated holes at a bottom surface, and walls of the container. Further, the container includes two handles attached to the walls of the container. A plurality of bottles are placed inside the container and secured with a lid. The lid includes a plurality of holes positioned at the opening of the bottle. Further, the plurality of bottles are fitted with a dispenser for use as a mist sprayer. The mist spray bottles with ocean water is used for sun tanning, and other beauty treatments.
