Air:fluid Distribution System And Method

US Patent:
2005027, Dec 8, 2005
Filed:
Jun 2, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/143524
Inventors:
Torey DeGrazia - Park Ridge IL, US
Margaret Rajski - Ingleside IL, US
International Classification:
F23D011/44
F02G005/00
US Classification:
431215000, 431353000
Abstract:
A valve assembly including a block forming a bore. An air inlet opening is in communication with the bore, and provides a volume of air into the bore. The bore provides communication between the air inlet opening and at least one air outlet passage. A fuel inlet opening is in communication with the bore, and provides a volume of fuel into the bore. The bore provides communication between the fuel inlet opening and at least one fuel outlet passage. A pintle is slidably positionable within the bore to control the volume of air directed out of the bore through the air outlet passage and the volume of fuel directed out of the bore through the fuel outlet passage.

Fuel Injection Apparatus For Automobile

US Patent:
4694804, Sep 22, 1987
Filed:
May 28, 1985
Appl. No.:
6/738422
Inventors:
Torey W. DeGrazia - Park Ridge IL
International Classification:
F02M 3900
US Classification:
123462
Abstract:
A fuel injection adapter for a vehicle having a carburetor includes a fuel chamber coupled to the fuel pump of the vehicle, an operating lever adapted for coupling to the throttle lever of the vehicle and a pair of nozzles positioned in the throat of the carburetor for delivering fuel directly thereto. The nozzles are connected to fuel metering jets mounted in a wall of the chamber and corresponding fuel control needles are movable in and out of the jets to control fuel flow by means of a needle plate that is driven from the operating lever. The adapter can be mounted directly to the carburetor. A heater is positioned in the chamber for heating the fuel for cold weather starting. A shutoff valve is connected in the inlet fuel line and stops fuel flow into the chamber when the operating lever is in a position corresponding to a throttle wide open condition.

Vehicle Air Induction System

US Patent:
6314949, Nov 13, 2001
Filed:
Sep 13, 2000
Appl. No.:
9/660671
Inventors:
Torey W. DeGrazia - Park Ridge IL
Margaret Rajski - Ingleside IL
Assignee:
Fuel Management, Inc. - Park Ridge IL
International Classification:
G05D 2300
F02G 500
US Classification:
123542
Abstract:
This invention is an air induction system that enables an enhanced flow of temperature-controlled, magnetically influenced forced air to the air intake of internal combustion, turbine-type, and other engines having an air intake manifold. An interior air inlet is positioned in communication with a passenger compartment of the vehicle. Additionally, or alternatively, a plenum outlet is positioned in an HVAC plenum of the vehicle. An air supply duct extends between the interior air inlet and/or the plenum outlet and the air intake manifold supplies conditioned air to the air intake manifold. Performance may be enhanced with the positioning of magnets and/or an air diverter valve into the system. As a result of the enhanced flow of magnetically influenced air and the more steady state of the temperature of the inducted air, fuel consumption and air emissions levels are reduced.

Remotely Actuated, Reversible Drain Valve

US Patent:
4905643, Mar 6, 1990
Filed:
Jun 19, 1989
Appl. No.:
7/367973
Inventors:
Torey W. DeGrazia - Park Ridge IL
International Classification:
F01M 100
US Classification:
123196S
Abstract:
A reversible drain valve that is remotely actuated is disclosed. The valve includes a longitudinal fluid passageway having a pair of identical connecting means located at opposite ends. An outlet sleeve having a sealing surface is joined with either of the connecting means. A closure member is joined with the other connecting means and cooperates with the longitudinal passageway to form a valve chamber. A cable actuated valve member is urged to a closed position against the sealing surface with the use of a biasing spring and fluid collected in the valve chamber.

Interlocked Remote Oil Filter And Drain

US Patent:
4676206, Jun 30, 1987
Filed:
Aug 13, 1986
Appl. No.:
6/896083
Inventors:
Torey W. DeGrazia - Park Ridge IL
International Classification:
F01M 100
US Classification:
123196S
Abstract:
A remotely located oil filter and a remotely operated sump drain valve are interlocked such that the drain valve can only be operated when the oil filter is removed. A cable is connected to a lever which is pivotally mounted to open the drain valve in response to movement of a bracket that is affixed to an oil filter plate. Movement of the bracket is impeded by the installed oil filter so that the drain valve cannot be opened unless the oil filter is removed.

Interlocked Remote Oil Filter And Drain

US Patent:
4901693, Feb 20, 1990
Filed:
Jun 28, 1989
Appl. No.:
7/373150
Inventors:
Torey W. DeGrazia - Park Ridge IL
International Classification:
I01M 100
US Classification:
123196S
Abstract:
An improved interlocked remote oil filter and drain provides a system for draining oil from the oil sump of an engine. The system comprises an improved interlock that includes an interlock tab movable between a drain position to permit draining of the engine oil when the oil filter is not in place and a safe position to prohibit draining of the engine oil when the oil filter is in place. The interlock tab allows the convenient use of different sizes and shapes of oil filters.
