The market in Las Vegas was booming and I wanted to learn more about how to buy and sell real estate as an investment. So I went to real estate school, with no true intentions of becoming an agent. School taught me the law, which was great, but it didn't teach me how to find the "great deal", didn't teach me to "negotiate", didn't teach me "creative financing". I decided to dive in. HEAD FIRST! And then as I waded through the waters of "Real Estate Transactions."I found very few clients understood the process. I had great Clients, ready to buy, but scared! They were uncertain about their decisions...so taking my corporate background, I devised a real estate guide, which ended up more like a training program.A hands on training course for the buyer and seller. By the time my clients were done with me, they were investing! Many buying investment propertiesbefore I ever had the opportunity. So there you have it, I didn't start off with the intention to be an agentbut I find it extreemly satifying to know that I provided the foundation for someone's confident decision. So here I am. My Rules about Clients 1. EDUCATE! EDUCATE! EDUCATE! You not only need to know that I know YOU need to understand it for yourself and be able to explain it to someone else if asked. And If I don't have an explanation, I will find you a professional who does. 2. Tell them what I think even if they don't want to hear it. If everything seems great to you...be prepared for me to mention the bad stuff. I'm not trying to bring you down, but I do want you to have a realistic picture. Not all that seems bad IS bad and not all that seems good IS good. I kind of look at your home purchase/sale as a relationship. You've heard the term living in the bubble. Well the house is the bubble. When your inside the view is skewed it's blurry. But those of us on the outside we get a full unobscured view of what's going on. So I'm going to tell you what I see when I walk around the bubble. 3. We have to have Trust, and Communication, ie Rapport. If you don't feel comfortable with me, please let me know and we'll find you another great agent to work with. I want you comfortable enough to ask as many questions as you like, failing that your going to hesistate or worry and finally worst, make a bad decision...
