Radiographic Table System

US Patent:
4190774, Feb 26, 1980
Filed:
Mar 9, 1978
Appl. No.:
5/884906
Inventors:
Cedomir S. Marinkovich - Chicago IL
William M. Crimmins - Vernon Hills IL
Assignee:
Litton Industrial Products Inc. - Beverly Hills CA
International Classification:
A61B 604
US Classification:
250446
Abstract:
A radiographic fluoroscopic X-ray table including a rigid fluoroscopic staging apparatus where the spot film device is synchronized along the transverse axis with the X-ray tube by means of a telescoping shaft assembly. The telescoping shaft assembly engages a rack in the spot film device and drives a sprocket and chain system connected to the X-ray tube and collimator. The telescoping shaft also increases and decreases its length to accomodate the spot film device being moved up and down in the vertical direction above the table. The spot film device and the fluoroscopic staging aparatus are counterbalanced in the vertical direction and along the table's longitudinal axis through a system of pulleys, cables and counterweights. A power assist system is provided to drive the staging apparatus along the longitudinal axis of the X-ray table.

US Patent:
3948506, Apr 6, 1976
Filed:
Feb 18, 1975
Appl. No.:
5/550327
Inventors:
William M. Crimmins - Vernon Hills IL
Robert E. Petterec - Lindenhurst IL
Assignee:
Xerox Corporation - Stamford CT
International Classification:
B65H 110
US Classification:
271165
Abstract:
A tuned card weight for biasing a stack of cards in a card feeder includes: (a) a base section having a pair of parallel edges, one of the edges having an extension forming an acute angle with one side of the section; (b) an elastomer cantilever coupled to the other side of the base section along the other of the edges, the cantilever having a handle at its free end; and (c) a metal rod extending through the handle for providing the resulting structure with a damped resonant frequency. The resonant frequency is provided such that it is greater than the rate at which the feeder operates.
