Abstract:
A method, apparatus and article of manufacture that implements the method, automatically identifies and reuses software libraries. In various embodiments, a first set of specified block names is received. One or more libraries of the source project which contain the blocks associated with the first set of specified block names are automatically identified to provide a first set of libraries for reuse. In some embodiments, one or more depended-upon blocks associated with the blocks of the first set of libraries are also automatically identified; and, one or more depended-upon libraries in the source project, which contain the depended-upon blocks, are automatically identified for reuse. In yet another embodiment, a reuse library is built based on static libraries of the first set of libraries and static libraries of the depended-upon libraries.

In various embodiments, a method, apparatus, and article of manufacture define an analysis window for a dimensional model in accordance with a window template and a starting point. One or more aggregate definitions are produced based on the analysis window. In another embodiment, the dimensional model comprises a time dimension, and the window template is associated with the time dimension. In yet another embodiment, the starting point is changed to a new starting point, and a new analysis window is defined using the new starting point.

Abstract:
A technique for efficiently updating a key table during outline restructure of a multi-dimensional database. A command is executed in a computer to perform a database operation on a relational database stored on a data store connected to the computer. It is determined that a multi-dimensional database has been restructured. Then, a key table of the relational database is rebuilt to correspond to the restructured multidimensional database.
