I survived a long drawn out College career and ended up with an AA in Social Sciences, on to an AA with a Practical Nursing Degree, and followed that up years later with a Bachelors Degree in Womens Studies with Social Work. While working on my education I also worked on a marriage for about 10 years, and raised three girls who are all now attending Universities around California. I also was very happy to meet my eldest daughter's intended husband about 6 1/2 years ago. They had a beautiful wedding. He was around for about 2 years and they gave me a beautiful granddaughter, who is the delight of my life. I am terribly proud of my daughters and what they are all doing with their lives. And watching my eldest with her daughter is absolutely wonderful. She is making a wonderful Mom. I have spent the last 13 years recovering from a catastrophic illness and am on a great recovery course. Each time the docs say I won't be able to do something anymore, I find a way to prove them wrong. They said I wouldn't talk again, I talk up a storm. They said I would not walk again and now I walk everyday for an hour in my neighborhood. They said I would not be able to breath without a tracheotomy and I had the tracheotomy closed almost 2 years ago. I still have a way to go, but I work on it every day, and one of these days I will return to work or maybe go back and finish my Masters Degree in Social Work, or maybe I will pick up a completely different career path. I plan to be around for a very long time yet. Who knows what the future holds for me. I am looking forward to finding out what that future may be. I am happy just to be working on what ever my future holds for me.
